FALL RISK was the first result of an ongoing collaboration with the artist Lindsay Deifik, which exhibited at the Kitchen Table Gallery in Philadelphia, PA. The collaboration offered us the opportunity to work playfully to harmonize our parallel interests in natural phenomena and the apparatuses that constrain them, materiality, and industrious inquiry. Lindsay works mainly with simple sculptural materials, textiles, prints, and drawings; I often utilize glass, kinetic components, found materials, and light, while constantly inventing and sourcing surprising media. The collaboration led to some very curious material juxtapositions and connotations.
